On Monday, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, was opened after two months which was closed due to Covid-19. Zoo was reopened by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Prateep Kumar. It will be available for visitors from Tuesday.

As in the consideration of Covid-19 situation, people who visit the Zoo will have thermal scanning at the entry and should wear masks. Fine will be imposed for the ones who don’t obey the Covid-19 rules at the zoo.

As per the reports from the Zoo authority, they have faced a loss of Rs 4 crore in the first and second wave of Covid. Visitors can book tickets online by visiting www.vizagzoo.com to avoid the queue at the ticket counter.
